Hi Darren aka summie!

Some time back Pål changed the moniker/screen name format to a minimum of 5 
characters, as I was myself, Lynn (only 4 characters)  :(  so I borrowed from 
my cat's name, beans.

I was well on my way to being a lawyer, and I left it for bartending.  After 
about four years of tending bar, I picked up a new day job with a large stodgy 
lawfirm where women were not permitted to wear trousers....  I tried it for 
about three weeks and I just couldn't take it a moment longer!  So, my select 
few evenings of bartending went back to full time day or night and I have had 
no regrets, other than those excruciating three weeks of pantyhose and pumps.

This sidenote came to mind when I was writing an email to a friend.  I had a 
really bad couple of weeks with a neighborhood group, as I sit on their 
neighborhood development corporation 'board' and assisted in a "us vs. them" 
and wild theories of who was the criminal mediation/solution seeking town hall 
fashion meeting of many concerned individuals with alot of hot air and bad 
breath.  Hence my elevated sensitivity to sweeping generalizations regarding 
labelled groups of individuals....

I enjoy your point of view.  Lawyers in Cleveland hardly ever smile, or say 
thank you for your efforts....  Especially when you wrote their entire 
argument, signed their name to it and won the case!  ;0)
