I don't think Beans made any claims towards knowing everything about 
bartending. She was just warning you that your seemingly innocent question 
could easily be derailed into the land of prejudice. One starts with something 
like, "Hey, don't you think oil execs are really sucky tippers?" or something, 
which seems innocent enough. But within such a statement lies the seeds of 
potential classism/sexism/racism, ending with something like "I sure hate 
those Martian hookers, they are the worst damn tippers in the galaxy." Then 
everyone jumps on the anti-Martian bandwagon, making the situation ripe for 
the rise of a trans-galactic Hitler. See the problem? 

BTW, I am in no way accusing you of racism/Nazism or anything else. Neither 
does anyone question your ability or knowledge as a bartender. I'm just trying 
to explain why people on this forum very much despise sweeping generalizations 
of any nature. 

I will, however, make the sweeping generalization that other people in the 
service industry are by far the best tippers, at least at my bar. That will 
probably always be true.
