Hi 

I'm new - so please don't shoot me if I say something wrong - I promise that I 
didn't do it on purpose.

Anyway - I found this forum today and thought it may be a fun read - this 
thread however was not funny - but sorta sad, I hope you guys can move on to 
more fun areas and a larger variety of conversation.

On the other hand,I've learnt alot about the people in here.  Doc - I like the 
sound of your place, its so cool!  Do you let people do flare? and free pour?  
Sorry, I ask everone this question!

Beans (ok Lynn, not your cat) found it amusing you told everyone not to call 
you beans even though you put itdown as you posting name (please don't have a 
go at me - i read your first reply) anyway, i enjoyed reading about the 
variety of places you work at.

Kiddy - kiddy?!?!? funny name  - anyhoo only learnt that you like upsetting 
Beans and doc and melon - ok - kidding again.  Felt kinda bad for you, but at 
the same time I could see your point and I'm going to write my view for you...

I believe the best tip in the world is the smile and look that my customers 
give me when I serve them.  

I like putting effort into everything I give them, and try and do a little 
flare.  In the UK (where I am) it is not very customary to tip, and in my 
experience it is very dependant on the culture in the bar.  In the bar I'm 
currently in - most people give me money for a drink - say £3 ($5) when they 
buy a round but not in every round.  But even so I will still smile, serve and 
stun them with flare and speed, because that's the whole reason I do it.  Fun 
and Smiles! :)  Anyway, an ickle bit about me - I love working behind a bar, 
but during the day I'm a lawyer, although, very few people at my bar know 
this, but its great doing a job I love, and if I could live on it, I would do 
it for free.  (Although, I spend to much, so I can't not be a lawyer)
