That was some very serious entertainment after a night of pool league at ye 
ole pub.  I have no general opinion about poor tippers or great tippers 
really.  I have never once asked for a tip, and i tell my other bartenders not 
to.  There was this one time when i had a non-tipping regular tell a friend of 
mine not to forget gratuity and i said (in a joking fun way) your one to talk. 
 But whether they are good tippers or bad tippers to you, whether they are 
nice as pie or mean as shit, you still should at least try to show the same 
respect to every customer, because every customer is a potential return 
customer.  And that always makes the bosses happy.  There are some people that 
you will find as regulars that may throw a hint to someone that is a shy 
tipper.  there are some folks that just dont know any better.  I am not the 
best bartender BY FAR... but i do know people quite well and i learn more and 
more every day.  And if nothing else, you might not get a big tip, but if you 
are nice and cool, you may find yourself with friends for life, or at least 
regulars that will if not have big tips, will have regular tips. Me 
personally, i would rather have consistent small tips than rare big tips.  I 
want my customers to come back!  and most of mine always do.  But there is 
always an occasional jackass that is never happy with anything.  those guys 
can stay home.
