I havent really stepped into this debate over lemons or limes as default in a 
sour, but i would like to point people to the margarita post if i may

Not sure if i copied the right post, i have been drinking at uni night.

I always assumed that lemons are a much more sour fruit then a lime, with the 
lime having a more tart flavour than sour as such, if that is understandable.
As for assuming to be able to switch lemons with limes and vice versa, i doubt 
you can appreciate this difference without appreciating all the different 
types of limes and flavours that they are available in, let alone the lemons 
too!
