Subject: The sour in a Whiskey Sour.
From: Thinking Bartender

I am wondering what are peoples thoughts on the sour in a whiskey sour, or any
sour for that matter. According to Jerry Thomas always seems to use Lemon
juice only, but Tom Bullock uses either lemon or lime juice. Is it acceptable
to use other sour ingredients without changing the name from Whiskey Sour?
Grapefruit juice? passionfruit?

Cheers!
