I find that the some people use the following recipe for a Daiquiri:

2 shots Rum,
1 shot fresh lime juice,
1/2 shot sugar syrup (thick type)

Shake and strain. Cocktail Glass. Lime Wedge.

And the following for a Rum Sour:

2 shots Rum,.
1 shot fresh lemon juice,
1/2 shot sugar syrup (thick type)

Shake and strain. Whisky Glass/ Ice. Lemon Slice.

In my opinion the lime is the better drink, and even though it is a Daiquiri I
would have no problems calling it a Rum Sour also.

Cheers!
