Perhaps it is somewhere in the tone, but I don't find it my mission to correct
my guests. Where I work it is considered rude and inappropriate, even if they
are wrong. Of course, that also depends upon how much we know that guest too.
Educating the guest on how and what to order is usually in an entirely
different context, and not in the after the fact manner of while or during
they've made their request, that you find to be wrong/incorrect.
And out of curiosity, what do you call gin, vermouth and an olive on the
rocks?
I do know of folks that don't particularly care for a cocktail glass.
