He was listening and looking straight at me. Don't know what to make of it. 
I'll try the "not shaken" bit. 

I wonder if he would take offense to constructive criticism. I know people 
don't like to be told how to do their job, but if no one tells you... how will 
you ever know.

I'm a very easy going guy. I took my shaken Manhattan, smiled, and drank up. I 
could tell he was proud that he knew how to make a Manhattan to start with. He 
even had a waitress come by picking up other drinks and ask, "what are you 
making?" He said, "this is Manhattan, cool huh."

Oh boy. I need some of you guys and gals to come down to where I live to get 
these barkeeps in order. :)

I live in a suburb of New Orleans and there is some good bars downtown, but 
gee wiz I shouldn't have to go downtown to get a drink.

This is why I started the BAR RECOMMENDATION threads... it is so hard to find 
a good bar.
