I think the LIIT is the one cocktail that has been handed to us from a
customers stand-point and not from the bartenders.

We have this view that it is only there to get people wasted, because lets
face it, the majority of people who drink them in bars, are there for that
reason. If they aint drinking a LIIT then they will drink a couple more of
something else. Most people go out to drink to get wasted, the quicker the
better.

Unfortunatly, the LIIT has become the cocktail of choice for this type of
customer. But what about the flavours anf refreshing taste you can get out of
it? I enjoy a LIIT very randomly, but still i enjoy it. I like mine with
cranberry juice. I also like big macs so am i a dodgy chef or crap bartender?
:P

I dont think you will ever settle this argument, there are way too many for
and against.

How many of you have tried to ake your own version of a LIIT? You st here and
talk about all your other flavours in cocktails you have twisted, well give
this one a go then. I had some succes with passionfruit puree and honeydew
melon muddled. Then go and make it with only one spirit and see if you can
discerne the flavour differences.
