I
sometimes
Like
Ice Chips
In my
Drinks.
Martinis (even Gin) even.
It's a serving/supping preferance.
I know the difference. I appreciate the difference.
And sometimes, I want the difference.
But I'm an iconoclast who (sometimes) will take :
ice cubes in my white wine (it's good enough for the French peasants),
ice in my beer (better than having it warm)
and will experiment with the whole gamut of available taste experiences to get
what I feel like at that point in time.
I have sugar in my coffee in the morning and evening, but not the afternoon. I
don't take milk, unless it's instant, in which case I almost always do. But
I'm sometimes partial to a latte'.
I make the rules, and although it may be confusing to those who think they can
predict what I want, I reserve the right to deviate.
I (being me) would resent being 'educated' or even worse being over-ridden if
I'd already made it clear by _my_ specifications that my request was
non-standard.
.dan.
( I'll admit the martini - "shaken not stirred" cliche' - deserves question,
and I try to steer people away from the Frozen Marg and towards the Rocks, but
I won't labour the point)
