I don't know about bruising but vodka martinis most certainly do cloud.  A 
stirred martini looks like water, a shaken one is nearly opaque white.  When 
servers ask me why I stir I point out this difference and ask them "If you 
were taking a photo of a martini to put in a cocktail book, which one would 
you use?"
