"If you were taking a photo of a martini to put in a cocktail book, which one
would you use?"

This is part of the art of cocktail making, i.e. making the drink "look" good.
Some people just don't seem to have the sense of taste to see what looks good,
and what looks really bad. Over-garnishing, badly cut fruit, limp mint sprigs,
etc

If more people could think that they were preparing each cocktail for a
photograph, then they would put a little more effort into their presentation.

Imagine that you prepare a cocktail without due care and attention, and
someone takes a photo of it, and goes around saying "this is how X garnishes
their drinks".

And if imagining that you are preparing a cocktail for a magazine shoot, or
whatever, doesn't work, then imagine you are preparing the drink for your
parents, friends, fellow webtenders.

Cheers!
