"8. Make a drink to recipe using the exact-o-pour and make one by
free-pouring.
Taste the difference. Their should not be any difference. If there is,
practice all over again........
9. Following on from the previous point, know what the drink should taste like
and taste every drink you make. You will begin to notice if you are over/under
pouring so you can adjust accordingly."
These were the points I made with regards to tasting. I think you have read
into "taste every drink you make" a bit too much. I meant that you should try
every NEW drink you make and any you are unsure of. I can see how, from the
way its written, that you may have thought I meant try EVERY drink. Christ,
that would just be plain stupid!
After you have made, for example, a Bramble 100 times, I would not expect the
bartender to try it, unless they had no confidence in their free-pour. In
which case I would refer them to my post!
Cheers,
Adam
