Um... I honestly can't tell you HOW I do it (Hey, I can't tell my left from my
right, either), but what I will do is practice.

So, I get a few small glasses/decanters, and I get an empty bottle that I've
filled with water ... maybe some food coloring, depending on how bored I am...
and I will pour what I think is 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, 3/4 oz, 1 oz and 1 1/4 oz in
each. Then, I pour that into jiggers to measure how I'm doing.

I know: that didn't tell you HOW I count, but the result is what we're most
interested in... right?
