I'm a british bartender working in dubai and last night had a very similar 
experience to the one you just mentioned and you're right its really annoying 
especially as he was ordering say a vodka lemonade then another one instead of 
both at once, i find the best way to deal with customers like this is to 
simply ask " anything else " after each drink and maybe pass a small joke like 
are you trying to keep me fit with all this running around, this works well 
because the customer then realises hes being a pain in the arse and will order 
properly next time.

One other thing I would like to say though is that when you have to serve some 
of the idiots i see out here clicking fingers, grunting, whistles etc. 
sometimes its nice to serve a doddering old english man his " pimms and 
lemonade, oh and one more please"
