It still stands, though. The only bars that can get away with being "any drink 
to anybody, anytime" are bars in high-tourism areas, hotel bars, and other 
places where every week or so new people come in and old people leave. In 
other areas, one has to cultivate regulars and suit their tastes. This tends 
to give bars certain "atmospheres" and ways of doing things which sometimes 
include not making drinks of a certain type, or serving people who act or 
dress a certain way. And this isn't just flip flops and t-shirt man invading 
the local martini bar; it happens when johnnie suit-and-tie goes to a bar 
where they strain shots with their fingers into plastic cups and tries 
ordering a Manhattan.
