It really depends on the night or time of the year where I work...this past 
weekend, I took home 250 dollars in tips. I think working in a hotel has a lot 
more benefits than out in a regular bar, because on any given night (except 
sundays)we have at least 100-125 people staying at the hotel, and with a bar 
right in the lobby, it just draws them in faster. But the real reason I make 
really good tips is that i know how to treat people. Treat younger men with 
respect, older men with even more. The younger women, get them what they want, 
no small talk unless they initiate it, but at least tell them they look 
nice...in a professional manner, and the older ladies...make them feel like 
they're young again, you'd be suprised on what they'll leave you in tips.
