George, I prepared my first caipirinha on the 27th of february 1987, the day I 
opened my first bar in Italy...and the drink was already popular. Nowadays the 
majority of Caipi fans drink Strawberry Caipiroska or Caipirissima with 
gold/anejo rum . Caipirinha has aficionados only in the clientele on their 
forties/fifties , folks who starded drinking it 20 years ago and never stopped.
