If a person doesn't appear to be 30, I will ask for ID. For those that balk, 
Oh, Well.

LEGALLY, if a person is wrinkled as Homer Simpson's father, and has a cane, 
and people are calling him Grandpa, if he has no PROOF (ID) that he is legal, 
I have no requirement to serve him.

Most folx that want to balk aren't legal. Most people that do not appear to be 
30 KNOW that if they want to drink, they will need ID. 

If you server someone, and you didn't TRY to verify that they are legal, and 
ANYTHING happens, from them being carded by law enforcement, to them wanting 
to complain they got a belly ache, you are responsible.

I have had very few complain they are asked. When they do, I typically respond 
with, 'wouldn't you rather LOOK under age, and need to be carded, than the 
other way around?', or something like that. If they push it, I just look at 
their ID harder!

My problem is, if a person appears to have fake ID, I don't believe my 
management would back me on not serving them. Most of the time, if they 
produce ANY ID that is for a person over the legal age, I serve them.
