Yeah, in most cases I think it's best to turn it into an "us against them" 
sort of thing, you're on the customer's side but that dang system/The 
Man/boss/government is keeping you down, making you check for this and you 
just want to keep your job.  

Internally I just want to smack most of these people.  Unless you just got off 
of the boat yesterday you know the rules, jackhole.  Cut the eye-rolling, 
irate crap and let me get to the part where I make the drink already, 
otherwise I'm moving on to the more cooperative customers adjacent to you.
