anyone is better than the average bartender, (being average is never a high 
target to aim for anyway).

We are not (I thought) discussing 'who' is better, but what is better. Ranting 
on about flairing as the one specific element that creates greatness is where 
my beef lies.

You Dan, reeled off a list of qualities/ skills a 'flair' bartender acquires, 
I have yet to find a flair bartender who does this. Practicing flairing is all 
I see or hear flair bartenders going on about, never cocktail workmanship and 
the like. 

I am commited to bartending greatness, specifically cocktails/ spirits/ 
service (no particular order)

Q: Why should I think that I am missing a valuable skill (i.e. flairing)?, I 
do not exist to amuse guests, but to help them amuse themselves!
