AH. That sounds very sensible based on all the explanations I've read so far.
Much less trouble than boiling long-time also.
I've now got half a freezer full of lumps that are cracked and cloudy to
various degrees. The one I stirred half-way through is consistantly opaque,
but not cracked.
Putting boilING water straight in in a sealed container gave me the clearest
outer shell so far, but still a crunched centre.
I'll try thawing one or two blocks to see if second time works. I was
wondering what I should do with them :)
And after one attempt with a knife, I can see I've got a long way to go to be
able to do what this guy in the video did! And I need gloves :)
