Leave out your hobbies, even leave out (most of your) education. I don't care, 
and I'm bored by the idea that you think I do.
Just experience, and directly relevant skills (inc cash-handling, stock 
control, languages, black belt, First Aid, etc) count on paper.

If you need to pad the experience, describe initiatives and changes your place 
went through in your time (increased bar take 3x over a 6 month period, ran 
dancefloor competitions and promotions)

Most of all, it's how you present yourself, in person, as you show up.

Confidence ("Give me a go, I'll prove myself") and presentation (covered in 
this thread) shine above any bit of paper for any entry->medium level hospo 
job. Management or sole charge positions may be a little more advanced.
