Yeah, I fully expect to be carded until I'm atleast 35, thats just the way 
things are around here, until the server/bartender gets familiar with your 
face.  And even then, they do it sometimes just to make it look good with the 
boss.

About the lamination thing.  California driver's licenses are like a credit 
card.  Basically all one peice plastic.  So lamination doesn't make sense.  
And the only reason they could think it was laminated, was becuase they 
mangled the edges of the card so bad it started to seperate. 

We accept the fact that we get carded all the time.  I expect nothing less.  
However, a bit of tact is necessary when trying to refuse service to someone 
when you can't legitimatley explain why.  Espcially to locals.   I guess thats 
okay, becuase we now choose better places to go, with friendlier people, and a 
better environment.  Happy employees equals happy customers.
