Good tips!

I'm always amazed when I get someone in their early 20s who acts upset or put 
out at being carded.  Even after I've confirmed that they're say, 23, I'm 
thinking, "What did you expect?  You're only two years over the legal age?"  

I'm 29 and I still get carded, I would think people would just understand 
that's how things are in most states.  

Just last week I had a guy sit down with his son, I asked the younger one for 
his ID.  Dad says, "It's okay, this is my son, he's with me."

Sorry, Dad, ATF doesn't give a rat's ass who he's with.  

I politely insisted on seeing the ID before serving, at which point the kid 
rolled his eyes at being so inconvenienced and said he had to go back to his 
room to get it (I work in a hotel bar).  He comes back a few minutes later, 
turns out he's 23 and I give him his beer.  I don't know what this kid is used 
to but when I was 23 I didn't go into any bar without having my ID, I expected 
to be carded.  

Wow, you've been legal to drink for a whole two years, what was I thinking?
