Everclear huh? How did I know it would come to this. ;)

Aside from Everclear, are there any other brands of neutral grain spirit that 
folks could recommend? I haven't seen any over here but if I know exactly what 
I'm looking for brand-wise, I could perhaps find a substitute. Does an 
unflavoured vodka work the same (aside from the much lower ABV), or is there a 
difference I may be missing?
