I try not to keep stuff in my pockets anymore, all the dipping in and out was 
giving me knuckle abrasions. However after being introduced to extendable key 
fobs I realised that all sorts of things can be attached for easy access. I 
currently carry 3 extendable belt clips; 1x blow torch lighter 1x pen 1x wine 
opener. I also carry a holster with bar blade and spare lighter. Anything else 
that can be clipped or attached to me usually is!
