I understand where you're coming from. But in the bartending industry, it's
so difficult to find work when you're a beginner. Most places don't want to
work with someone right out of bartending school (or with no experience). If
they do you have to start out as a waitress, which I don't see how that's
training when the waitress is just bringing the drinks to the table and not
there watching/learning what the bartender is doing.

In NYC where I was looking, no place will hire someone with no experience,
most places even require that you have 2-3yrs of only NYC experience.

Starting out as a waitress or barback is fine for people who are looking for
this to be their full time jobs, but for me I'm only able to bartend on a
Saturday since I have a full time office job Mon-Fri. so I knew my options
would be slim to none with my limited schedule if I walked in to an interview
with nothing on my resume.

On a side note: all bartenders I've talked to when i'm out in the city all say
they lie on the resume even my bartending school teacher said it's okay to add
places to ur resume that you've never worked at.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
