I'm new too and I'm having a problem where customers are constantly telling me
my drinks are too weak and to add more liquor.

At my place we use shot glasses to measure and each drink gets a shot and a
half of alcohol and the rest with whatever mixer. Since all are highballs are
served in bug mugs, I'm sure all the mixer liquid dilutes the alcohol more so
than being in a standard highball glass.

When customers tell me to make it stronger, I can't since managers are always
watching - How can I still keep the customer happy & tipping, but still adhere
to the house rules?

One guy told me to make it strong and he'll tip me well, so silly me did it
and he just gave me 2 bucks. Our highball drinks are $6.25 for house brand
$7.25 for call and $8.25 for top shelf.
