OK. I have to ask. Why even bother to respond? You know, I know, and anyone 
that pays close attention here that if I have a valid contribution to the 
board it bothers you. I'm sorry you were robbed of that satisfaction when you 
wrongly chastised me for answering the question put to the board.

I have no problem answering the tender's questions by email if no one else has 
an interest. If people on the board so request I will do so.

For the record, I have trouble understanding why one tender would denigrate or 
castigate another tender for trying to do the best job they can. While 
Thinking Bartender and others obsess over what I would call mixology, I 
haven't seen them attacking the college bartenders who depend mostly on speed 
to do their job. 

The forum does have some speed tenders from time to time that fail to 
understand that it is important to acknowledge that using flavor instead of 
fresh is not the best way to make certain drinks. Some of those folk do strike 
out at the purists on this board out of frustration or shame or whatever. That 
type of response is not helpful to anyone.

The truth is, tending is a job more defined by the venue in which it is 
practiced than it is by anything else. In some settings, speed is paramont and 
in others it has a lesser importance. Most joints do not require the high 
levels of mixology skills discussed here, but some do. Some places need 
tenders that look like Bippo or Jam and others would prefer folks that look 
like the other .dan or Natrone. Each venue creates a different set of job 
specs, but, tenders should take care of other tenders.

I think most of the tenders who come here are looking to learn and get better 
at their chosen job, and I would assume your motivation is the same. That is 
why I come here - to learn, and, I have learned a lot since I've been reading 
here. I may post a little too often, but I feel an obligation to share and 
give back for all I've been given. Why would you want to dismiss someone 
else's request for information as unimportant just because it is of no 
interest to you? 

Since I still remember your response to another thread, I take it you won't 
read this anyway because it is too long for you, so I likely am wasting my 
time, but I'm going to try. If I wrote something that offended you in the past 
and that is why you have your attitude toward me, I offer my appology.
