heh, alright ive been looking to do this at the bar im opening. now...i found
this site for containers which is nice.. http://www.infused-vodka.com/
so...heres the thing, if you want to keep these on the bar top, what is the
best way to go over the course of a few months?
one way ive heard is to fill your jar with fruit, let it sit for about a week,
if its going out fast enough top off the jar with fresh alchohol each day so
that the fruit is covered. now ive heard that the fruit will be gin to break
down. so at that point what ive heard is to strain the whole thing through a
coffe filter so that you just have the clean alchohol, clean the original jar,
add new fresh fruit and then pour the alchohol over it. I would guess that as
you continue to do this, depending how fast it sells you would have to get a
device to measure alchohol content, because i would guess that this stuff is
going to get pretty strong after a while yes or no? I guess it really depends
if you want to keep the presentation of the fruit in the jar. if not you could
just let it sit with the fruit for a week then strain it and just keep the
clean alchohol. I think seeing it with the fruit is part of the whole thing
right?
here is an image from a food magazine called santi, sorry for quality just
snapped it with my digicam.
