It could be just the crowd. Some folks don't dig the super-sweet drinks so 
those fancy liquers just collect dust; they are colorful in their bottles, 
though.

For me, usually, sweet drinks aren't terribly refreshing; it's like the 
difference between drinking a Coke and drinking straight Coke syrup. Regular 
Coke has the fizz to keep it grounded while straight syrup just hits you in 
the face. Sweet drinks have their place, mind you . . . it's just usually 
after dinner when you don't have to worry so much about something heavy in 
your system. Although if you were to order an after-dinner mudslide (or any 
other sweet drink) somewhere, that could get some VERY interesting looks. 
Anytime else, you want some things going on other than just sweet.
