In my opinion Galliano can include a nice perfume of spices and herbs in a
drink. If you think and search long enough you'll find other nice combinations
with Galliano. I don't think that there's something wrong with the flavour of
Galliano. but that its use is limited to a few drinks because of some other
reasons. I personally like to match it with berries or cream. Think about anis
and vanilla and anything which could match with that. A golden caddilac or
golden dream are nice drinks using Galliano as a main flavour (both with
cream).

You can use Galliano as a substitute in drinks where Licor 43 is used. Both
have strong vanilla taste combined with sweet herbs and spices. But if you've
only used Galliano as a main flavour (like your three drinks) you haven't used
it in the best possible way yet. Don't see it as a vanilla liqueur but as a
herbal liqueur which has to be used as a taste modifier. Like bitters you
don't have to use much for a certain effect. If you use to much galliano it
tastes like Jagermeister with vanilla. I think that's the reason why it isn't
found in many drinks. The liqueur isn't nice to be drunken straight while many
try to make drinks with a large amounts of Galliano flavour. That doesn't
work. Use it less only to marry with the flavour of the fruits or liquor.

Damn I have a headache. I don't know if it is yesterdays party or slamming my
head against the floor after it (the floor, not the wall in this case). Never
had a headache from drinking before and that slam was hard.
