 I certainly feel your pain on this one. I just left my bartending job due to 
change in management. (new owners pushed GM too far and he quit) Owner decided 
to take our nice local irish pub and make it a techno club (guess he needs to 
troll for another underage girlfriend) in a quiet, remote virginia redneck 
suburb of DC. To me, would be like asking folks from Manhattan to go to 
Paramus.
Then, to top of my day, they "promoted" a 21 year old server to bar manager.
( to be fair , i'm sure there are some 21year olds out there with a clue, but 
this one is NOT the guy)
Those of us that have been in this business more than five minutes could read 
the writing on the wall. In the month since this happened, all but one 
employee that had been there more than 6 months has left. The new staff are 
all young and excited to be working for the demi-celebrity Owner (he's a radio 
DJ)and i hope he raised wages as all of the regulars have left and (according 
to deliveries) the money isn't walking in the place anymore.
The beauty of this job is it's transient and can be done anywhere in the 
world. there is ALWAYS another bar within blocks.
Find a place with the same value system you have and go have fun and make some 
money for yourself AND your establishment!
