I agree Dan with the whole theft thing, but as long as you are honestly buying 
the customer their drinks, there should be no problems.  When I was behind the 
wood, I regularly ran myself a tab that I would pay out at the end of the 
night.  And for my own safety, I kept copies of every tab I ran in such a 
manner. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise that I did that, but that is a 
whole 'nother story.  But when customers found out I was actually buying them 
drinks instead of giving the house away, it really increased my tips.  Sounds 
redundant, I know, but if it can make the difference between $150 and $200, 
then who cares, right?
