Hi Rick,

If you really want to impress your boss write up a list of all of the opening 
duties that you can think of and then take it to him and ask him if he can 
think of any more that should be added on to it.  He will like the fact that 
you are taking the initiave and you'll also scratch his ego as you are coming 
to him as the oracle of the bar.
