Briefly:
Light skunks beer, expescially sunlight, brown bottles offer protection from 
this, clear bottles do not, what happens is the beer gets "Light-Struck" this 
happens when the beer is made from real hops (which is a completely different 
discussion altogether) the lightstuck reaction can happen withing seconds. To 
mask this the Corona company found that the citrus acid in fruits such as 
limes help mask and take away the skunky-ness (is that a word?) of the beer. 
So to recap: 
Corona=Good, Corone+Light=Bad, Corona+Light+Lime=Good Once More
