  Using maraschino cherry juice would allow you to keep the cherry taste, but 
would remove any taste of alcohol and make your drink much sweeter in the 
process. Maybe give cherry brandy a try and see if that tastes alright, or 
even include the cherry brandy and a little of the plain cherry juice and see 
if you can produce a taste similar to that of the maraschino liqueur.
