I'm not here looking for pity or concern, I'm looking for cold, hard facts. 

When you say "hit the street", what do you mean? I am happy to start out slow 
and low, I'm willing to work myself up the totem pole. But from what I've read 
in this forum, it seems many get bartending work straight out of school and I 
just hope I can do the same. (or is this a pipe dream?)

Let me rephrase:  If you were in my position, once you were done in school 
what would you do?
