no-one seems to have touched the truth about cosmos here. an original cosmo
uses absolut citron, cointreau, fresh lime juice and cranberry juice. any
drink made with different vodkas isn't a cosmo. take absolut kurrant, you have
a metro. mandarin, a neopolitan. it was a drink created in '94 for the las
vegas gay pride march and absolut by dale degroeff (so i've been told, anyonbe
verify that for me?) so i just go off the standard recipe. i used to plkay
about sweetening it with cassis, played about with gomme but if you use about
1/4 oz of lime juice and squeeze 1/2 a lime in and drop it into the tin with
the rest, that sweetens it fine.
