I will certainly agree with you that the moves that can be performed are 
limited when compared to a nearly empty bottle, but that limit is quite large. 
 There are a LOT of moves that can be done with a full bottle.  To the point 
that if you were to watch a talented bartender perform working flair over the 
course of a full shift, there would be very little repetition.

When you throw a full bottle, there is no end to end rotation.  If there was, 
it would spill out all over the place.  Often the bartenders will spin the 
bottle itself to create a funnel effect with the liquor inside.  In either 
case, the bottle can still be flaired (not flipped) as smoothly as an almost 
empty bottle.
