this is no new years res crappola, i've been at a grind lately as the bar 
manager and have needed something to keep positive about.  i've been on 
something of a classic cocktail bender as of late, sidecars, 3:1 gin 
martini's, negronis, rusty nails and i've been trying "weird" ones like 
queneau's white lady which i really liked but it frightens most people off 
with the egg white.  Now instead of turning up my nose at alot of cocktails, 
i'll have one after work so i can round out my knowledge of cocktails.  
History and why certain ingredients work together has also caught my interest 
going into my 6th year bartending.

in short, what are you doing to keep your job fresh and interesting?  what are 
your goals for the year? money? sex? knowledge? skill? glory?
