From the sound of it, you're looking for a silver bullet style problem.  It's 
not like combining the two is going to create arsenic.  I believe I said 
earlier that there were no magical effects by combining the two, only that 
they both individually had faults which mimic each other.

This is where I think there's a misunderstanding.  Dan isn't saying that 
drinking Red Bull somehow raises the BAC of a person.  He's saying that the 
effects of red bull mask the alcohol which let's you feel like you can drink 
more alcohol.

Now this is where everybody is butting heads.  There can be no scientific 
proof of something like this, as it really is based on the individual, not ALL 
people.  I've served a few thousand RedBull and <insert booze here> and only 
seen a couple of people that have actually suffered from it.  Most people 
still exhibit the effects or stop drinking before they got TOO much futher 
than they normally would have (or they are simply good at counting their own 
drinks).  This is where I agree with Apetail, it's a problem that isn't much 
of a problem.  If 1 out of every 500 people who drink the combo get sicker 
than they normally would have, well, so be it.  Very very very few people will 
die because of the combination, and more likely get sick (which may slow them 
down in the long run).  There aren't enough people suffering to make a big 
fuss over this (I'm sure that's why america doesn't justify banning it).
