when I lived in Germany, There were a lot of bartenders that drank on the job, 
an d it just seemed..... not right!  I like a bartender that knows his liquor, 
but do it on your time!
the only time I drink while I am working is during the  close of the night.   
I sometimes have a rye and seven while I am doing my paper work.  That's it!  
no customers around... just finishing my night.
I do agree about flirting with girls, or guys(maybe not flirting, but 
treating them well)  is a great thing for tips.  Doesn't matter if they are 20 
or 70.  
I also agree that it is a very fun job!  I love it!  Except for the fact that 
I don't drink while I am working, My job is like hosting a party.
