Interresting. I have been thinking a lot about bartending being more about
trends and less about technique. The Manhattan which, nowadays, a lot people
seem to advocate as a complex, interresting, difficult, etc. mixture was
originally just a trendy addition of vermouth to booze and not the whole
balancing, combining flavours, special ratios, etc. stuff. It seems
plausible... what else could they use to mix in those times?
