I'd honestly simply never thought to add citrus to a Manhattan - when I make
them for myself, I tend to pour them according to what you listed as a "Light
Manhattan" recipe, with no garnish, and shaken instead of stirred (I prefer
everything shaken over stirred).

Speaking of which, I have a new bottle of Woodford Reserve Four Grain bourbon
that I've been meaning to make a Manhattan with. Cheers!
