Hey Dan, thanks so much! I can take any thought thrown my way, but when it's
done with respect. I treat others with respect so it's not too much to ask for
it back. I was surprised when all of the negative thoughts came my way.
Telling the truth about it and not taking people's hard earned money for
common bartender knowledge is what I am out to do. I tell them what they need
to know and a little about making drinks. I am a true believer that you must
get behind the bar and learn on experience, not a two week course. I get
emails all the time for advice, from making drinks, to dealing with drunks,
even managemnet. They get the truth from me.
Yes, I have fun with it. Bartending is fun. People want to come to my bar and
if in a bad mood, they want to leave in a good mood, which I provide. This
doesn't mean that I don't take my bartending seriously. Every drink I make is
done with perfection. I take great pride in my drinks. Just because it's a
sports bar doesn't mean we sling crap over the bar. I have high profile
regulars that come in often and just because they want the fun, sports
environment doesn't mean they want a crap drink to go along with it.
Although we do have a bartender that screws up on alot of drinks, but to my
surprise, she's become one of our most wanted bartenders. Basically because of
her personality! She's a great entertainer. In time, she'll perfect her
drinks. But for now, she's perfected the art of gaining regulars which makes
up for a large percent of her income. Koodos to her! She's atleast on the
right track.
So all in all, when you get some one new on here, try to be just a little bit
nice to them, and you wont get an attitude back.
Again, thank you Dan for just being nice and honest!
