Subject: Mapo fruit/mapo mapo liqueur

So checking out the Theme mag write up of the Havana Club international
cocktail grand prix I noticed the winning drink used "Mapo Mapo" (a 28% ABV
liqueur based on the Mapo fruit). The article says that a Mapo fruit is "a
hybrid citrus fruit that was created by crossing Grapefruit and Mandarine" and
the liqueur is "perfumed and intense with an alcohol content of 28%ABV and
offers the aroma of grapefruit along with the sweetness of mandarine".
So, anyone used Mapo fruit or Mapo mapo liqueur before? I'd never heard of it
but if the liqueur is available in Italy (the winner was Italian) then we
might get Dom Costa to start the first transaction on Adams ebaytender bottle
exchange???
If any UK tenders use the fruit or the liqueur who'd you get it through?
For the record the winning drink was......

No Anne
by Gianalberto Alessandrini, Italy
50ml Havana club 3YO
20ml Mapo mapo
15ml Papaya syrup
pieces of pineapple
20ml Guava syrup
Shake ingrediants and strain into highball glass over crushed ice. Garnish
with fresh fruit.
