I am always amazed at how few people actually write thank you letters as
follow ups and do even half of the wonderful tips mentioned above. Recently
during an employee search, I came up with this list for humor's sake:
TOP TEN THINGS TO DO TO ENSURE YOU WON'T BE A BOOZE BABE:
10.	Show up for an interview and tell me, "I don't drink."
9.	Send me an email with a headshot of you flipping the bird finger as you
tell me how frustrating it is to go out and not know what cocktail to order at
a bar and how working for me would be so cool in solving that problem.
8.	Respond to a job posting with the return email address: deelishusleenasty
7.	Tell me how "really, really attractive" you are.
6.	Write a cover letter stating, "I am perfect for the job with my two years
of Java programming."
5.	Show up for an interview reeking of cigarette smoke.
4.	Give me a handshake so limp I wonder if you have bones in your hand.
3.	Show up uninvited with your resume and camp out, reading a book, just
waiting until I have a moment.
2.	Tell me that you "used to be a hustler."
1.	And the real winner is…accepting a job offer and then not showing up for
work!
